BEST Disney Day Bag- What To Pack for Your Day In The Parks!
Woohoo, you’re going to Disney!! Now, let’s get you as prepared as possible for the HAPPIEST DAY EVER. You’ll need to bring a few things with you into the bar for a successful day. Read below for some suggestions on what to pack in your Disney Day Bag.
1. Backpack / Purse
This is going to be your personal preference! LoungeFly has the cutest Disney backpack options. My favorite Disney bags from Amazon are featured below:
2. MagicBand
Don’t forget the most essential piece for your day in the park: MAGIC BAND. This has your ticket information, fast passes, and more linked to it. If you don’t have a Magicband, remember to bring your park ticket!
3. Portable Charger
Long days in the parks will drain your phone so quickly – especially since you’ll need your phone to reference the time for fastpasses, dining reservations, and as your hotel room key on the “MyDisneyExperience” app. Use a portable phone case in the parks to stay charged!

4. Sunscreen
Bring sunscreen to reapply to your face. When you’re standing in the Florida heat all day, you’re bound to get a sunburn without any protection.
5. Poncho
Sure, you can bring your rain coat or an umbrella. But in a park, it’s more reasonable to pack a light weight poncho that can be folded up. Buy this before you get to Disney. You can find cheap ones for $2-$3 online (they’re $12+ at Disney!)
6. Portable Fan or Cooling Towel
Or both, if you want! Florida gets HOT in the summer. Sometimes it feels unbearable. Be prepared with a mini portable fan or a small cooling towel. It doesn’t hurt to have both available!
7. Sunglasses
Have you picked up on the fact that it’s hot and sunny here in Florida? 🙂 Don’t forget your sunglasses. They will be your favorite accessory.
8. Hand Sanitizer / Wet Wipes
Bring small, travel sized disinfectant that you can use on the go to wipe off your table, wash your hands before eating, etc. Disney has plenty of restrooms with soap and water readily available but it never hurts to be over prepared, especially after Covid-19.
9. Disney Ears
It wouldn’t be a day in the parks without your favorite Disney accessories.
10. Other Ideas
- Snacks
- Gum – they don’t sell this in the parks!
- Bandaids
- Character Autograph Book & Pen
- Feminine Hygiene
- Hair Ties
- Advil
- Tissues
Most of the above items are featured on Amazon! Check out my shopping list for Disney themed necessities here!
What Not To Pack in your disney day bag
I avoid packing the following items. They’re either completely unnecessary, too bulky, or just annoying to carry around.
1. Water Bottle
Disney will always give you a free cup of water at any of the restaurants or quick service options. Don’t lug your heavy water bottle around all day. If you feel like you still want to bring one, pack a collapsible lightweight water bottle.
2. Waterproof Phone Case
I don’t see the point. There are only a few water rides. Some water rides, like Splash Mountain, offer you a ziplock baggie to place your phone in for the ride. If you’re worried about your phone on a ride or in a massive rain storm, you can bring your own ziplock baggie, but don’t waste your time bringing a waterproof phone case.
3. Bug Spray
There is no need for Bug Spray in Disney World. Call it Disney magic, but there are never any bugs in the park (except for the occasional fly).
