About Timberline Glamping

Timerbline Glamping was created in 2018 by husband and wife Nathan and Rebeka Self. They wanted a space to unwind with their kids that combined nature and luxury together! It started out as a brand only in Georgia, but has since expanded to 3 other states!

Accommodations at Timberline Glamping

Forget about roughing it in a tent; Timberline Glamping offers luxurious accommodations that blend comfort and nature seamlessly. Their thoughtfully designed tents feature spacious interiors, plush bedding, cozy furnishings, and modern amenities, ensuring a restful and rejuvenating stay.

Each tent is equipped with beds, heating/air conditioning, seating areas, mini fridge, and coffee maker. Because of the AC Unit, you’ll find a few outlets available to charge your devices as well.

Outside the tents, you’ll find lounge chairs for enjoying the scenery, hammocks, picnic table, and fire pit!

It’s camping redefined, where you can unwind in style without sacrificing the beauty of the great outdoors.

Cooking at Timberline Glamping

Start that campfire – because you’re eating freshly grilled foods for dinner!

You’ll need to bring all items associated with cooking. This includes utensils, plates, napkins, firewood, etc.

I’ve made a list of the items I personally brought to ensure cooking over the campfire was as easy as possible:

  • Firewood, Fire Starter, Matches
  • Paper Plates, Plastic Forks/Knives, Napkins, Paper Towels
  • Skillet, Tongs, Spatula, 1 Real Knife
  • Tin Foil, Oil, Seasonings
  • Food (Burgers, Corn on the cob, Potatoes) and Smores
  • Water

I recommend that you prep your ingredients ahead of time, using marinades or pre-cutting veggies to minimize prep work on-site. Opt for foods that cook well over an open flame, such as skewers of marinated meats, foil-wrapped potatoes, or grilled vegetables. Consider using aluminum foil packets for easy cleanup and to lock in flavors.

Things To Do at Timberline Glamping

If you plan on leaving the campsite…
Each campsite offers different surrounding amenities. For instance, the Amicolola Falls campsite features nearby hiking to a stunning waterfall, while the lakeside campsites feature opportunities to go boating or fishing. Do some research ahead of time to know the area around your campsite so you can make the most of your daily excursions.

If you plan on staying at the campsite…
Why leave the campsite when you can entertain yourself here for the day and truly unplug! They have hammocks you can relax in and a few books/games inside the tent. They also offer Jenga & Corn Hole boards for rent!
That said, I recommend bringing a few games, books, and activities with you! For instance, sometimes I like to paint small pottery or play card games when I spend a day glamping.

  2. I never went glamping, but it’s definitely something I’d like to try out. As a child, I had to go camping with my parents – and I hated it. Obviously, back then, camping was a quite rustic endeavor. Not long ago, I went on a camping trip in an RV and that was actually fun. Now all that’s missing on my camping list is glamping, and in a tent like yours, I totally see myself spending a couple of nights next to the campfire 😉

  3. My first look at glamping was a few years ago. I could believe house luxurious the tent was inside. Camping is not my style anymore, but glamping is a possibility.
